EGISA, committed to SDGs

On 25 September 2015, the UN adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries and their societies to embark on a new path to improve the lives of all people, leaving no one behind.

The Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which state that poverty eradication must go hand in hand with strategies that promote economic growth and address a range of social needs such as education, health, social protection and employment prospects, while combating climate change and protecting the environment.

EGISA joins the 2023 #ODSporbandera campaign promoted by UN Global Compact Spain.

In order to publicly reinforce the value of its commitment to the United Nations 2030 Agenda, EGISA has joined the #ODSporbanderacampaign launched by UN Global Compact Spain. The campaign is part of the international #Togetherforthesdgs initiative launched by the UN Global Compact and involving several countries around the world. The aim of the event is for different global actors to demonstrate their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the 8th anniversary of the 2030 Agenda and the halfway point of its implementation.

In this way, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) flag stands as a powerful emblem, representing the commitment to a sustainable and prosperous future for all. A gesture independent of nationality, affiliation or position, which seeks to synchronise efforts and goals, uniting a commitment far greater than all that separates us. A flag that encourages us to move forward together.

By raising this flag, EGISA is committed to achieving results, prioritising the well-being of people and the planet. These include the commitment to act in a fair, honest and responsible manner, being transparent and exemplary in business; to foster an ethical, safe, equal and trustworthy environment for all its employees, customers and partners in general; to limit and reduce the impact of its activity on the environment.

We will shortly be publishing our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, a document that sets out the CSR commitments, projects, actions and best practices that EGISA is currently implementing, organised by different areas and dimensions and linked to the SDGs.

EGISA supports the Esplugues SDG Mission project

Thanks to funding from the Spanish Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, the City Council of Esplugues de Llobregat has promoted an awareness-raising project to publicise the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs show us the way forward for the coming years, with the great challenge of transforming the world: ending poverty, protecting the planet and improving the lives and futures of all the world’s people, leaving no one behind.

From June to December 2023, Esplugues will put the Sustainable Development Goals at the centre of public life through play, because the best learning in life is done through play. It is a city project in which different municipal services, educational centres, entities, businesses, companies and other organisations in the city are involved.

At EGISA we have already joined the SDG Mission, because we are convinced that with small changes, we can achieve great challenges.
