Our history

EGISA was founded in May 1964 by Carlos Labori Gaudier in the town of Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona), very close to the Barcelona airport and already envisioning the future internationalization of the company. During the first years of activity, it devoted all its efforts to specializing in the custom manufacturing of folding boxes.

At the beginning of the 1980s, after having acquired knowledge and experience in other sectors, the second generation began to join the work with their children, occupying key positions in the company.

In the mid-80s, thanks to a highly specialized human team and the know-how acquired over the years, EGISA was already the leader in Spain in the high-end packaging sector.

"Innovation, passion and excellence are the three values that have defined our company since its founding."

— Carlos Labori, CEO

From the 1990s, EGISA began its international journey, led by Carlos Labori Sallent (son of the founder) by opening to the French market in a first phase to export thousands of cartons around the world a few years later, proving and consolidating its international vocation.

EGISA’s family business culture gives it a long-term vision, gives it stability as well as flexibility in its management, and allows it to focus on the development of interpersonal relationships, which generates trust among its clients.

The entry of the third generation of the family will be carried out while maintaining the essence, values and principles that have always defined the company.
