Our history
EGISA was founded in May 1964 by Carlos Labori Gaudier in the town of Esplugues de Llobregat, just a few minutes from Barcelona Airport – a location that already hinted at the company’s future international ambitions. In its early years, EGISA focused its efforts on mastering the custom manufacturing of folding cartons.
By the early 1980s, the second generation began to join the company, bringing with them expertise gained in other industries and taking on key strategic roles.
Thanks to a highly specialised team and the know-how accumulated over the years, EGISA became, by the mid-1980s, the leading company in Spain in the field of high–end packaging.
"Innovation, passion and excellence are the three values that have defined our company since its founding".
Carlos Labori, CEO

In the 1990s, under the leadership of Carlos Labori Sallent (son of the founder) EGISA began its international expansion. The company first entered the French market and, a few years later, extended its reach to the Middle East, with a notable presence in Dubai, further consolidating its position as a global benchmark in luxury packaging.
In March 2025, EGISA joined ISEM Packaging Group, Europe’s leading industrial group specialising in high-end packaging for the luxury sector, headquartered in Bologna, at the heart of Italy’s Packaging Valley. This strategic alliance safeguards the continuity of EGISA’s long-term vision while providing the strength and scale of a multinational group to drive future growth.
As part of ISEM Packaging Group, EGISA will expand its capabilities, optimise its operations, and continue to innovate in sustainable, tailor-made packaging solutions that meet the highest standards of quality. Excellence, innovation and passion remain at the core of the brand, bringing the beauty of craftsmanship and emotion to every folding box.
Through this partnership, EGISA ensures that its legacy continues to evolve, and that its brand, expertise and history are fully recognised within a major industrial project with a global outlook.
